My Must-Haves for Fall Part 1

Hello my Beauties! Okay I want to share with you my must-haves for fall. I am going to have 2 parts only because this may be a long blog all together
and I don't want to bore all of you out there :P
Alright, so right now I want to start off with my must haves for just hanging around the house. This one may be a short blog (LoL)

Sweatpants & Sweatshirts!
I love to feel comfortable and cozy at home during Fall/Winter, and especially when it's a rainy day. I don't even think you'll catch me wearing anything else but sweatpants and a hoodie. These are great just because if you're not planning to go anywhere and you just want to lounge around at home and relax, maybe watch a movie, why not be comfortable?

Fuzzy Socks!

I own probably about 4 pairs of fuzzy socks (lol) I'm not even joking.  When it's cold around the house, i will put these bad boys on and my feet are all nice and warm :) Not only do these socks keep my feet nice and warm but they are super soft! I prefer these than my ordinary socks during Fall/Winter.

I usually get these at Target, JC Penny, and they aren't really that expensive either! They even make great stocking stuffers!

Slippers!

If you're not a huge sock person, and don't like wearing socks, then get yourself some slippers. It's important to make sure your feet are staying warm, to prevent from getting sick because that is no fun. Especially when it is cold, and you're barefoot and you happen to step on really cold tile either it be in your kitchen or bathroom slippers come in handy, and again they make great little gifts for friends and family!

Blankets!

Okay, you can never have enough blankets during the Fall/Winter. Rainy season is around the corner, and if you don't prefer to use your heater because you want to save money, then stock up on some blankets!

Maybe even invest in a heating blanket :) They are great for those cold nights, or if you happen to be snuggling next to someone, instead of piling on blankets, just turn up the heat with your electric blanket! I tend to get really cold before I go to bed, and a heating blanket makes all the difference!

Product Review: Soft Lips

Alright, well I am VERY disappointed with this product, I'm going to be up front and honest. I really had high hopes for Soft Lips' Lip Balm and I was completely let down.
I have to re apply the product every 5 minutes because my lips dry out SO quickly!

Grant it, they smell wonderful and and when the product WAS on my lips, it did make my lips feel moisturized and soft, but legit 5 minutes later, if I even made it that far and i had to re apply it again.

I'm a big fan of Chapstick and any sort of lip balm, and it was a good deal when I bought them (2 sticks for about $2.20) but after using it for almost a week, I've decided that it was the WORST lip balm I've ever used.

I hope maybe it was just me and some of you out there have had better luck with it than I did but I am simply not satisfied :(

Ways to reduce hair breakage!

Hey there ladies and gentlemen!
I'm sure there are several of you out there who at some point in time, have notice a lot
of hair breakage. I've been there! So now i am going to try and help you out by sharing ways
to help reduce hair breakage :)
Let's get started shall we?

Make sure to trim your ends!
Okay, I will fully admit that I am very bad at trimming my hair every 4-6 weeks or however many weeks that it is required, and i end up with very dried ends, and I have to cut more hair than I wanted to just so I can make my hair healthier.

By trimming your hair as recommended, this will help eliminate the chances of split ends getting out of control to the point where they either break off on their own, or the hair splits all the way up the hair shaft and a SERIOUS cut is needed. So keep up with your hair! Only trim the bottom of your hair a little at a time: 1/4 - 1/2 an inch, plus they are less traumatic if a serious cut is needed ;-)

Protein, Protein, Protein!
Protein is what's going to make your hair stronger and healthier. There are many different proteins that have specific functions in which some of them bind to the hair cuticle to help rebuild any weakened areas.

Those who have relaxed or color treated hair like myself, are in need of more protein than others due to coloring and relaxing breaks protein.

However, you must keep in mind that TOO MUCH protein will have the reverse effect on your hair! What I mean by this is that, having WAY too much protein then you need will cause your hair to dry out rather than restore!

Manage your heat!
Ladies! I know it is very difficult to let your hair naturally be itself lol, trust me.
Using heat, especially high heat on your hair everyday, will only draw out moisture leading to breakage, and even hair loss.

Using excessive heat on your hair on a daily basis, only adds stress to your hair, so let your hair breath! Cut back on the amount of heat, or remember to ALWAYS use a heat protectant! This is crucial and I cannot stress this enough! Also, invest in a humidifier, and turn it on at night, the moisture that is created will help with any dryness!

October Favorites!

Hi my beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen!
It is that time for my favorites! So I am going to just jump right into it :)
In no particular order...

1. Men's Schick Hydro 5 Razor

I usually use my Venus razor, but I always knew that a men's razor would make my legs feeling a lot smoother, so I ran to my local Target and puchased myself the Men's Schick Hydro 5. Since there are 5 blades, it will reduce the chances of irritation on the skin. After the first time I used it, I was blown away, my legs never felt so soft and the shave lasted longer than my Venus :) Ladies if you don't own a men's razor, you should!

2.Freeman Avocado Oatmeal Mask

I am not a huge fan of avocados, but I will not hesitate to put them on my face!
After cleansing my face, I will simply squeeze the product onto my hand and place all over my face and a little on my neck. I leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wipe off with a warm wash cloth.
After rinsing my face, I still have that feeling of my face being tight, since after I put on the mask,
my face will tighten up, and that feeling continues even after taking off the mask!
It smells great and it makes my skin feeling fresh and clean and I can see a difference :)
Definitely a Repurchase!

3. No Tangle Brush
I own 2 "No Tangle" brushes, one of them is the Macadamia one, and the other is just your generic one from Sally's Beauty Supply. I bought both just so I can have a backup. I've heard nothing but good things about these brushes so I decided to give it a try. Instantly I threw out my wide tooth comb, this did not hurt when using and it massaged my scalp while I was brushing. Since there are two different sizes of brissles, it makes brushing your hair when getting out of the shower a lot easier

4.Laura Geller Bronze n' Brighten
I have been eyeing this product for a VERY long time! I am so happy that I finally purchased it because I am in love! I really like Laura Geller's products and her Bronze N' Brighten was no disappointment. It is a little on the high end side but I think it's worth it. It is great for contouring and also gives you a little color along with your bronzer. Plus! You don't really need a lot of product to get a nice finish :)

5. It's a 10 Plus Keratin
I love detangler's and any sort of spray that will help my hair look shinier, feel softer, and all that jazz. Almost everytime. (since this does contain Keratin) I get done washing my hair, I will spray some of my It's a 10 leave in treatement just to make my hair feel extra lucious :) Because this one is not the original formula, and it does have keratin, i try not to ues it too much just because having too much keratin will leave your hair dried out! But i will definitely repurchase another one!

Ways to Reduce Blackheads!

Hey there ladies and gentlemen!
I know that there are many of you out there that struggle with annoying blackheads like myself, and no matter what I do they seem to not go away. Well here are a few tips on how to reduce the look of blackheads and ways to remove them!
Let's get started shall we?

1. Nose Strips:
I am a HUGE fan of Biore's Deep Cleansing Pore Strips, not only do they make them soley for your nose, but they also have strips that you can place anywhere on your face too!
But before you just slap one on, you must do the following:
1. Cleanse your face prior to help open up the pores (use warm water)
2. Make sure the area that you are placing a strip is wet so that the strip will stick properly
3. Apply the strip and wait about 10 minutes then remove!

2. Witch Hazel
This has been proven to help reduce blackheads tremendously
and you should be able to find it at your local drug store!
Simply take a cotton ball and place some of the Witch Hazel and apply to the effected areas.
This will help removing any oil build up on your skin = No more blackheads!

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda can do a lot of stuff, it removes grease from your dishes,
helps makes your teeth whiter, why not remove blackheads too!
Mix Baking Soda, and water and palce on your face for about 20 minutes or so,
 and rinse with warm water!

4. Tea Tree Oil
This is seriously magic in a bottle. It helps with keloids,
and is great for blackheads because it has antiseptic (free from or clean of germs) propteries
that aid in removing blackheads effectively.

5. Lemon Juice
There is no other way to explain this, but simply rub a lemon on your face :) haha
Lemons contain what is called "Alpha Hydroxy Acid" which is
commonly found in acne medications because it naturally exfoliates the skin.
Lemons should be your best friend!
Put them in water to give a bit of flavor but also fight off those annoying blackheads!
Be Patient! You should see results over time, NOT overnight!

My Weight loss Journey

Hey my beauties!
Today I want to share with you a journey that I am currently on.
I have decided to get back into shape, and shed some pounds so right now I want to share with all of you how I've been doing and what I've been using.

1. Alli

I've been taking Alli for a couple weeks now and already I've shed about 5-7 Pounds. However let me be clear about a couple things:
1. You must eat right and exercise!
(And what I mean by eating right, is that you cannot have more than 15 grams of fat per meal)
2. If you consume A LOT of fat...you will have greasy bowel movements...I'm NOT joking

This is not a quick-fix pill you have to work at it and it will HELP you lose more weight than dieting and exercising alone.

2. Gold Gym's Waist & Thigh Trimmer
I know that these belts only help shed water, but since I don't sweat that much while doing cardio, I needed something to help me sweat more. After about 10 minutes of having these belts on, I'm sweating like I would after about an hour :D

So that is pretty much where I am at right now, I have high hopes and I am keeping an open mind and being optimistic, and taking baby steps right now so I don't bite off more than I can chew :)

September Favorites!

I know I am a little early, but I just wanted to get my September Favorites done for all of you!
Sorry for not putting anything up for a while!

Okay so let's get started:

Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo:

I really like this shampoo because if I feel that my hair is having too much buildup I will cleanse my hair about twice a week with this shampoo and it will remove any product buildup! Also, it does strip hair color so if you're looking to help lighten your hair by simply washing, I would strongly recommend this product :)

Maybelline Baby lips "Peppermint":

Okay so I've been wanting to purchase Maybelline's Baby Lips, and I am SO glad that I did. This makes my lips super soft and it also gives a nice little tingle ;-) I also have the "Fruit Punch" one and whenever I wear it, i have bright barbie pink lips lol

Alli:

Alright, I am currently trying to get back into shape so I picked up Alli to help me lose more weight along with exercising and eating right. Let me be really clear...you cannot simply take this pill and expect to lose 20 pounds instantly. You do have to work at it, you cannot eat greasy pizza and a double cheese burger because it simply will not work but so far I've lost about 5 pounds! Go me!

BabylissPro Carrera 2 Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer

BaByliss® Pro Porcelain Ceramic Hair Dryer

I had to replace my old hair dryer and I wanted to get one that was more top of the line. I've heard nothing but good things about Babyliss Hair dryers so I went to Folica.com and I purchased the Pro Procelain Ceramic Hair Dryer. It seriously dries my hair instantly and I don't feel like I am frying my hair like I did with my other dryers. A must have!

Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit Scrub

This is my ultimate favorite face scrub. I don't think I will ever use anything else. Not only does it smell AMAZING, but it leaves my face soft and clean! I use about twice a day morning and night and I will also use a face mask afterwards to give my face a more deep clean but this is honestly the best scrub I've ever used. Ladies and Gentlemen you need to have this in your bathroom!

Product Review: SAMY's Fat Foam Hair Dye

So I've dyed my hair a lot, and I've tried a few different brands, but NOTHING will compare to Samy's Fat Foam Hair Color!

This is my favorite hair color because it is very easy to apply and it gives you great color!
This includes:

1. Base Solution
2. Powder
3. Gloves
4. Post Shampoo & Conditioner
5. Shaker (to mix the base solution & Powder)

So you mix the Base solution and the powder into the shaker and it legit creates foam. For the size, you get a lot of color, usually I need like 2 boxes of hair dye when I color my hair and I only used one box when using this product. After applying the color all over my hair I still had some product left over which NEVER happens!
They have a pretty decent selection of color choices, I used N4 Dark Brown.

so I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who is considering dying their hair, it seriously is so easy to apply and it makes the process a lot quicker!

I purchased mine from Walmart:

Foods That Are Good For Your Skin

Hey there Ladies and Gents! Here is a list of foods that are really good for your skin!
1. Avocado:As we all know avocados are wonderful for your skin due to that  they have lots of essential oils and B-Complex that will nourish your skin inside and out :) - it also makes a good face mask too!

2.Mangoes:
Not only are Mangoes tasty, but they also have more than 80% of our daily Vitamin A needs which helps fight any premature aging!

3. Almonds: Almonds are great for your skin because it contains more than 150% of our daily Vitamin E requirements which will leave your skin with a beautiful complexion. So I guess it's safe to say that "Getting Nutty" is good for your ;-).

4. Cottage Cheese: Now, I know there are some out there that might not be a huge fan of cottage cheese. But, there are some perks to eating a bit of cottage cheese. It contains Selenium (which is an essential mineral) that also teams up with Vitamin E that acts as a powerful antioxidant duo! Cottage cheese is said to also help protect against Skin Cancer and fight dandruff!

5. Acerola Cherries: These little guys contain a lot of Vitamin C, which is really good for your skin. So good that because it's an antioxidant, these cherries help fight against wrinkles and skin damage!

6. Mushrooms: Mushrooms are rich in Riboflavin (B Vitamin) which is crucial to your skin. Riboflavin helps in improving skin blemishes. Also this vitamin is important to the body when it's sustaining a burn, wound, or even undergoing surgery.

7. Flaxseed Oil: I'm not sure that this is considered a "food" but it does do a great deal to your skin. Just taking one teaspoon a day will hydrate the skin and in turn being such an essential fatty acid will help unclog those pores that leads to acne!

August Favorites!

Hey there my wonderful beauties! Here are some of my favorites for the month of August!
Link:
Facebook Page: BearBeauty

1. DeMert Nail Enamel Dryer

Holy crap I am in love with this product! Giving myself a manicure has never been easier, especially if you are on the go and just need a touch up. This will instantly dry  your nails FAST! I mean FAST! After applying a top coat and you need your polish to dry quick, just spray all over your nails and BAM! They are rock hard and dried

2. L'Oreals Telescopic Mascara
Okay so even though I haven't had this item for very long I had to include it in my favorites. I love love LOVE this mascara, probably better that Maybelline's Faslies and trust me I am a HUGE fan of their Falsies mascara. What I love is that because the brush itself is so small, that it gets every single strand and I am able to separate lashes that may be stuck together

3. Britney Spear's Circus & Midnight Fantasy Perfume
I never really tried Britney's perfumes, I have tested them in the store and really like them but never could I bring myself to buying new perfume. Well I am glad that I did. These two are my absolute favorites! They smell amazing, I honestly couldn't tell you what they smell like but I'll try: Midnight Fantasy is very fruity but not too overpowering, and Circus is kinda like a cotton candy/sweet cupcake. The best way to know is to go test them out! lol

4. EOS Berry Blossom Hand Lotion

Ladies & Gentlemen! Need a hand lotion that smells wonderful and makes your hands soft? Seriously run to your local WalMart or Target or search online and keep one in your purse ladies or in your car gentlemen!I keep at least 2 of these in my bag because I am constantly moisturizing. and it's inexpensive!

5. It's a 10 Hair Mask

Okay this awesomeness is a must! Right now I am currently trying to strip my hair color with a sulfate shampoo and right after washing my hair I will put this bad boy on the bottom half of my hair to make it super soft/shiny.
