Remington Hair Straightener

Link: Facebook: BearBeauty

Alright! I am going to answer all of your hair straightener prayers
(well at least I hope I do :])

I just found an amazing hair straightener and it is not a fancy expensive one either, it's actually a pretty inexpensive and good quality hair straightener.

If you are currently looking, look no further! Remington's Anti-Static Digital Ceramic Hair Straightener 1 3/4" S5520 is the one to buy!
This bad boy is my FAVORITE hair straightener. I've only had about 4 straighteners (including the InStyler) and the last one that I had I've been using for over 3 years and I came to the realization that I am going to need a new one.

I actually purchased this straightener at Target for about $22 ( I can't remember the exact total) and I was thoroughly impressed. I think they have a purple/burgundy one but I am not sure. So,what's so great about it you ask? Well me tell you...

1. It heats up VERY quick!!!
(it says 30 sec and I would roughly agree, I never timed it but it heats up QUICK)
2. It glides off your hair like BUTTAH! yes butter!
3. My hair doesn't get caught in the corners like my past straighteners!
4. My hair looks very shiny after it being straighten!
5. It's an overall AWESOME hair straightener

So I hope this gave you some insight and some sort of idea on which Straightener to buy, and I am not just talking out of my ass, I LOVE this hair straightener! And! like I said it's decently priced, not $100 like some of the high end straighteners, so go check it out! ^_^

Favorite Beauty Products

Hey there Ladies!

Right now I want to share with all of you dolls what my favorite makeup products are and which ones I use the most. If you need any details on the items I list please don't hesitate to leave a comment and ask! :D

Before I put on any makeup I like to prep my face with NYX Pore Filler. I love this stuff because it will smooth out any lines and fill in pores to give a nice doll finish look. I will use this little magic in a bottle as a base/primer before putting on any concealer and believe me this will make a difference with your makeup!

I am really into Neutral colors as well as some Pinks/Purples so I am very happy that BH Cosmetics has a 120 Pallet 5th Edition that mainly has those Neutral/Pink/Purple as well as blacks and greys if you want to do like a smokey eye :) I am a huge fan of BH Cosmetics and I also have an 80 Neutral Pallet that I am in love with because like I said I am a huge fan of Neutral colors

If you have never heard of the company E.L.F you definitely should. They have a lot of makeup essentials for a VERY cheap price, and let me stress VERY cheap! I purchased quite a few items from this company including Lipsticks, brushes, blush, and a finishing spray. I must admit that for such a very cheap price I am impressed with some of their items. There are certain things that I will not jump for joy but I'll admit the products that I do have I am satisfied with them. I would buy from them again.

The one thing I love about makeup, is that depending on my mood I can choose the color lipstick that matches my mood. If I am feeling a bit "Daring" I can put on a bright red lipstick  to match that daring feeling. If I want to be "Bubble Gum Girly" I can put on a Barbie Pink lipstick, and that is why I love Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipstick. They come in all kinds of colors, and it's pretty long lasting for the most part. The colors I have are: Yummy Plummy, Coral Crush, Very Cherry, Party Pink, and Red Revival.

Along with my Lipstick I will use a lip balm to give my lips a bit more moisture and since I tend to always lose my chapsticks I decided to pick up something that I couldn't lose, my EOS Lip Balm. These cute little things are wonderful; to me they seem to last a lot longer than an ordinary Chapstick would and I do not have a problem losing it because they are a big and bright colored and they smell awesome, I have strawberry and a summer fruity one but I can't seem to remember the name but it's that red one in the picture! ^_^

Since my eyelashes aren't very long, and I don't wear false ones that much, I am so glad that I found the perfect mascara to help fulfiill my long lash desire. This is my ultimate FAVORITE mascara of all time. Maybelline's Falsies Mascara is amazing! It's gives my lashes more volume and makes them look a lot longer than they normally are. If any of you ladies are looking for a well worth mascara, this is the one!

So there you are ladies, a little bit of what is in my makeup bag :) I hope you all enjoy and if you haven't already please check out my "Hair Care" and Skin Care" blog!

UPDATED: Skin Care Routine

Hey there Ladies & Gents!
Here is an updated version of my Skin Care Routine! Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 CLEANSER/EXFOLIATE: I am still using my Noxzema as a cleanser but when I want to Exfoliate my skin, I love my Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit. Not only does it smell AMAZING but it also makes my skin feel super soft and it feels a lot cleaner. This is a must have! Again I clean my skin in the morning when I wake up and before I go to bed (Make sure to remove any make-up before cleansing!)
EXFOLIATE TOOL: While using the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit scrub I will also use my Olay Professional Pro X to really exfoliate my skin while either taking a shower or just before I go to bed.
FORMULA 10.0.6: This stuff is awesome, I love love LOVE it! The "So Totally Clean" smell isn't all that great but it gives you excellent results. After cleansing and using my mud mask I will take a few drops onto a cotton round and wipe all over my face. Along with their deep Pore cleanser I will use their Mud Mask roughly 2-3 times/week. This tightens up my skin and leaves my skin feel so much cleaner. I leave it on for about 10-15 min and then rinse with a warm wash cloth :)
MOISTURIZER: Again sometimes my face gets a bit too dry for my liking so I will just take Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil and rub in an upward motion all over my face. However the smell of this lotion is not all that great (well to me it isn't) but it does make my skin softer and moisturized.
 **Remember! Try not to touch your face throughout the day
UPDATED: My Hair Care
Hey Ladies & Gents! Okay so I am updating my Hair Care, I've been using some new products and I wanted to share with all of you! Hope you enjoy!
Let's Get Started :)
Leave a comment if you have any questions! <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER: . Okay, Thanks to my wonderful sistah Elena i am LOVING the "New" Clear Hair & Scalp Therapy Shampoo/Conditioner. I am using a mixture of:
1. Moisturizing Dry Scalp
2. Total Care
3. Volumizing Root Boost
4. Strong Lengths

I am LOVING this product line, the shampoo feels like butter and my hair smells really good and the conditioner makes my hair super soft and for about $5.99 (U.S. Dollars) you can't go wrong. The shampoo lathers very well and you don't need a whole lot, a little goes a long way because remember, when using shampoo ONLY apply to the top half of your hair (your roots) do not use shampoo on the ends of your hair, when using conditioner, ONLY apply to the bottom half of your hair, do NOT put on your roots for it can weigh down your hair.

BRUSHES: As some of you may know it is VERY important to NOT brush your hair when it is wet, for your hair is very fragile and you can end up damaging it. If you want to brush your hair, it is recommended to use a Wide Tooth Comb, but I have found something better. After getting out of the shower, I will use my Macadamia No Tangle Brush and this is a MUST BUY product. This massages the scalp while detangling my hair and I am not risking any damage. You can also use this brush when your hair is dry as well.

HEAT PROTECTION I am still using the same heat protection because they are my favorites! Again they are It's a 10 Plus Keratin and Not Your Mother's Beat the Heat. They both smell really good and when using any sort of styling tool it's very crucial to use a heat protection!!!

LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER: I really enjoy any sort of leave-in conditioner because who doesn't want hair to feel super soft and looking fabulous? That's why I purchased TRESemme's Split Remedy Leave-in Conditioning spray. If you have split ends or you are starting to notice some split ends, I would recommend this product, for it helps reduce up to 80% of split ends after 3 uses!! Of course it works best with the other Split Remedy products.

So there you are beautiful people! My updated hair care. Again, you should be getting your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks to help the ends of your hair looking healthy and if you are having trouble growing your hair I would recommend taking Biotin supplements, it will help your hair grow faster!

Wen Cleansing Conditioner

So I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who has used this product, and right now I am going to give you my honest opinion:

To start off, I am not a huge fan of this product. I mean do not get me wrong, I followed the instructions and I had an open mind and high hopes that this would be the product to put an end to my clustered shelf in the shower, but I was not impressed.

Before I go any further, let me explain what this product was "Designed" to accomplish:

It was created by Chaz Dean, a celebrity stylist, and it was said and demonstrated that this would be a "revolution" to Hair Care. Wen was formulated to be a 5-in-1 product that included: Shampoo, Conditioner, Detangler, Deep Conditioner, and a Leave-In Conditioner. Not only is Wen designed to ease any troubles with managing your hair, but also if your hair was color treated, this was supposed to help keep your color vibrant, make the color longer lasting, and help reduce any color from stripping when you washed it, because it would was created to be a product that you could use everyday.

Now, since I've given you a little info about this product, I can go forth with sharing with you my dilemma. I had dyed my hair red using Revlon's Colorsilk Luminista. I had thought that since Wen was constructed to help color treated hair, I didn't think that I had to worry about anything. After washing my hair the first couple times, I saw my color rinse away in the shower. I did NOT see any improvements to my hair NOR did the color remain vibrant or lasted longer. As usual, my color faded fairly quickly (Red hair is very difficult to upkeep in general (>_<).

Along with my color slipping away from me, I noticed that when I was done washing my hair and was letting it air dry, my hair had still felt dirty and oily! However, I kept an open mind and continued to use it. After been using Wen for about a week and a half, I decided to discontinue using this product. My hair did not feel as soft as I wanted it too, I still had knots, and overall I was just not satisfied. I really did think that I would be super happy, and could clear out all the shampoos and conditioners and not have to stress about what deep conditioner I should buy and what I can do to help take care of my color.

I hope that there are others out there who had a better experience using Wen Cleansing Conditioner than me :( I think I will stick to my Redken from now on <3
